Job Summary
The Sales Support Specialist (SSS) is a key player in driving the growth of our business within a defined territory. The SSS collaborates with the Territory Manager ™ and the VP of Sales Operations to cultivate new broker leads, expand existing contracts, and identify unique sales opportunities.
The SSS also handles all sales-related inquiries from existing brokers, freeing up our TMs to focus on recruiting new agents and expanding carrier relationships.
Primary Responsibilities :
New Broker Lead Generation and Management (50% of role) :
Articulate the Garity value proposition, product details, and market opportunities to insurance brokers.
Execute outbound calling campaigns to generate leads.
Monitor and engage with active leads from various sources.
Qualify broker leads for TM follow-up and set appointments.
Support company / territory initiatives as needed.
Existing Broker Engagement (50% of role) :
Develop deep product knowledge in the served markets.
Handle product and carrier-related questions from brokers across the territory.
Manage the broker welcome process and provide one-on-one training for newly contracted brokers.
Troubleshoot and resolve broker issues / inquiries regarding contracting, enrollment, commissions, etc.
Provide guidance and marketing support for brokers in need of product information or lead generating strategies.
Manage pre-AEP certification process for existing brokers.
Call all brokers regularly to maintain engagement and interest in Garity.
Evaluate production and contract gaps in the existing broker base and devise strategies to improve sales / add contracts.
Work with TM to develop seasonal performance reports for key uplines and top producers.

Sales-oriented, self-motivated, high-energy team player.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with impeccable phone etiquette.
Strong follow-up skills, organized, and detail-oriented.
Superior customer relationship skills with the ability to collaborate with multiple departments.
Ability to absorb key product details and market information.
Must become licensed and certified to sell within 6 months of employment.
Proficient use of Outlook, Excel, and CRM tools.
Social media experience with LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter is a plus.
