Responsibilities
Leads multidisciplinary team. Has oversight of Psychiatric inpatient care and the access center. The physician provides Leadership in Clinical care for the Behavioral health unit/access center. Provider Works collaboratively with the Nurse Director of the Behavioral Health Unit. 30-bed unit at ORMC and 18 bed unit at CRCM. Psychiatrist will have a caseload of 10- 15patients. Psychiatrist be responsible for histories and physicals, but infrequent as patients are normally admitted from the ED & the H&P is already done.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy
Residency trained in USA
Residency in Psychiatry
Minimum Experience:
Graduating Residents are welcome to apply
Certification/Registration Requirement:
License - Active NY State Medical License
Board Eligibility/ Board Certification in Psychiatry within 5 years of residency completion
DEA - NY State required
Infection Control - NY State
Certified BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred
ECFMG required if applicable
