Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Ability to meet the needs of all diverse learners.

· Ability to work with students individually or in a small group.

· Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with students, teachers, parents, and administrators.

· Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.

· Ability to develop and compile records and reports.

· Skilled in current assessments and using its data for teaching and learning.

· Understanding the growth and development of assigned students.

· Strong background in North Carolina Standard Course of Study/Common Core.

· Strong technology skills.

Minimum Education and Experience

· Minimum of Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

· Must be fully licensed as an Elementary Teacher (00025) and have previous tutoring experience.

This Position Reports Directly to: Principal

Salary : $32.00 hour (Certified, without retirement)

$27.00 hour (Certified, with retirement)

Classification : Non-Exempt
