Duties you will be responsible for:
Daily Duties
- Scan procedure reports
- Assist with recalls
- Calculate procedure costs
- File documentation into eCW system
- Other duties as assigned
Front Desk duties
- Ensure patient has current referral on date of service. Obtain referral if necessary.
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility prior to office visits & procedures.
- Collect all applicable co-payment, coinsurance, deductible or outstanding balance from the patient & post all payments collected.
- Research & assist patients with questions regarding balances including collecting applicable payments.
Medical Assistant duties:
- Triage patient, take vitals, enter chief complaint, past & present history into EMR system.
- Enter all current medications and prescription into EMR system.
- Ensure patient charts are complete and required records are requested.
- Call-in new prescriptions and refills and obtain authorization if necessary.
Care Coordinator duties:
- Schedule all procedures to be performed by the physician.
- Obtains all authorizations for procedures and tests.
- Check-out patients at the end of their visit and provide next step instructions.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma
- 2 years experience in medical practice or similar setting
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience desired
- GI experience desired
- Willing to travel to different centers
