Our GI Technician assists and interacts with patients during their recovery period.
Here are some of the duties you will be responsible for:
- Provides a safe environment for the patient to prevent potential injury. Investigates and intervenes in problem situations, reporting appropriate information to the Nurse Manager and documents information.
- Evaluates and completes assessments of patient needs to provide supportive care before, during, and after procedures and maintains accurate and complete endoscopy records.
- Not responsible for the administration of drugs, IV procedures, or other therapeutic and diagnostic measures falling within the realm of nursing practices.
- Accepts direction from supervisor or physicians and adheres to established routines.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Medical terminology knowledge required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- GI experience a plus
