Summary
This position entails work in the designing, training, implementation, troubleshooting and evaluation/revision of our EHR-related products/services and to be 1st tier IT support for all providers and staff. The candidate shall have a good understanding of or ability to learn clinical workflows with a preferred, but not required, clinical background. Must be proficient in the use of computers and able to effectively communicate and train end users in the use of our practice systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following:
· Design, troubleshoot, and maintain Templates for EHR
· Design, troubleshoot, and maintain Documents and Document Macros for EHR
· Assist with data extraction for both the St. Francis and Prisma Accountable Care Organizations
· Learn what is required for Macra/MIPS government programs
· Communicate effectively with EHR/Patient Portal vendor, Capsule Endoscopy vendor, and entities associated with the lab interfaces to report/solve/assist in solving software/hardware errors and issues
· Be comfortable training MDs/APPs/staff in both group and one-on-one settings
· Be comfortable with change (especially ever-changing technology) and open to new ideas
· Assist with trouble shooting patient portal issues – to include talking with patients
· Be sympathetic to and patient with frustrated end users
· Be discreet with patient data and abide by current HIPAA regulations and Practice standards
· Be available some weekends and evenings for training, implementation, or testing purposes
· Be available to take call on rotating weekends
· Be able to travel to all sites where our providers offer services
· Be available to travel out of town if needed for training purposes
· Be able to create teaching documents and manuals
· Modify teaching style in order to meet various learning needs
· Remain calm and positive in stressful situations
· Strategize while under pressure
· Analyze and redesign workflows as needed
· Assist with IT issues such as logging off users, reset user passwords, add/remove users from network and exchange servers, printer and scanner issues
· Troubleshoot phone system
· Setup new computers/laptops
· Assist with the setup and maintenance of multiple software interfaces
· Troubleshoot some hardware issues in addition to software issues
· Help troubleshoot software/hardware connectivity issues
