Gastrointestinal Specialists is a physician owned private practice specializing in Gastroenterology. We are seeking an experienced full-time medical biller to join our billing team. Candidate must have prior medical billing experience and possess the following: dependable, flexible, organized, ability to multitask and adapt to change. Duties include but not limited to:
This Is An In Person Role. No Remote Option
Responsibilities:
- Charge Entry
- Payment Posting
- Electronic and Paper Claim Submission
- Claim Denial and Unpaid Claims Follow-Up
- Scans Billing Documents into EMR
- Patient Statements and Collections
- Answers Telephone Billing Line and Assists Patients with Billing Inquires
- Additional Responsibilities as Necessary to Support the Billing Department
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2 Years Medical Billing Experience Required
- Knowledge of Billing and Coding Practices (CPT & ICD-10)
- HIPAA Knowledge
- Medical Office Software (Allscripts Experience a Plus)
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Ability to Communicate Professionally and Work in a Team Setting
- Excellent Problem Solving Skills
- Attention to Detail and Accuracy
- Excellent Organizational and Time Management Skills
