Specific duties include but are not limited to

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Inventory Control and Demand Planning Sr. Team Lead to oversee both the processes and personnel involved in the seamless management of material transactions, storage, and movement within our factory. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing inventory accuracy, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts and production needs, and maintaining efficient material flow throughout our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Process Oversight:
• Develop, implement, and maintain efficient inventory control and demand planning processes.
• Monitor and improve material handling procedures, ensuring compliance with established protocols and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and streamline material movement.
• Demand Facilitation:
• Facilitate close collaboration between Supply and Demand Optimization Manager, Purchasing Manager, and Production Supervisors and Manager.
• Support the generation and maintenance of “Work-In-Process,” considering lead times, production capacities, and customer commitments.
• Assist in adjusting material and “Work-In-Process,” as needed to accommodate changes in customer orders, production schedules, and market dynamics.
• Inventory Management:
• Maintain optimal inventory levels by regularly monitoring stock levels, consumption patterns, and reorder points.
• Implement strategies to minimize excess and obsolete inventory while ensuring availability of critical components.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies and taking corrective actions as needed.
• Personnel Management:
• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of inventory control and demand planning professionals.
• Set performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.
• Reporting and Analysis:
• Generate comprehensive reports on inventory levels, demand insights, and material movement efficiency.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in inventory control, demand facilitation, or supply chain management roles, with a focus on material flow optimization.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, demand analysis methodologies, and lean manufacturing concepts.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and demand planning tools.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and present findings to various stakeholders.
• APICS or similar supply chain certification is a plus.
• College degree or advanced training is a plus.
