Job Summary:
Responsible for safely transporting individuals supported by Gatesway to various destinations in the Tulsa Metro area in a courteous and helpful manner. This transportation includes but not limited to medical appointments, deliveries, shopping and leisure activities, etc. Accountable for daily safety check of assigned vehicle(s), for adequate fuel, preventive maintenance checks, responsible for cleaning vehicles and make sure all equipment is operating correctly.
Major Responsibilities:
- Maintain a daily routine at the start of each shift to check all safety equipment provided in the vehicle such, as lift, fire extinguishers, etc. Make sure the vehicle has adequate fuel for shift and is in a clean condition. Report all vehicle problems to transportation manager and explain in detail the problem.
- Responsible for checking daily schedule for shift rotations and changes in schedules. Establish a procedure of providing cheerful, curious help to all individuals supported by Gatesway being transported to various destinations. Accountable for properly maintaining vehicles log sheets.
- Responsible for cleaning vehicles and making sure all equipment is working correctly.
- Maintain a current Driver's License and annual competency requirements in defensive driving and First Aid CPR.
- Must adhere to all company policies, including the Company Vehicle Policy, which governs the transportation process for all Gatesway vehicles.
Requirements include:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- First Aid CPR certification preferred
- Driver's License and valid car insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Clear background (no felonies, violent misdemeanors, or active warrants)
