Job Summary: Under the direction of his immediate supervisors, will manage the day to day operations of these facilities. Location Manager will supervise all full time and part time employees at these locations and will administer all marketing programs/sales and markets to new and existing customers, offered by Gateway FS, Inc.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Be accountable for all grain operations at this location.
Be aware at all times of what accounting practices are required, and make sure these are implemented properly.
Assist Grain Clerk with daily grain operations, and fill in when absent.
Educate all personnel of any accounting changes, new or special programs, and proper handling of the grain.
Be accountable for conditioning, quality and long term storage of grain at this location. Any mixed or out of conditioned grain must be reported to the Operations Manager.
Inform supervisors of needed repairs.
Maintain proper housekeeping practices and monthly reports that meet the State EPA requirements.
Be familiar with all grain purchasing, pricing, contracts and discount guidelines.
Assist Controller with month-end inventory.
Maintain proper customer contact by the use of a customer call list. Be ready to take offers, discuss marketing alternatives. Report all offers to the Grain Merchandiser.
Develop a Prospect List of potential customers in the Waltonville area.
Work with respective Department Marketing Managers to develop strategies for specific Prospects.
Maintain Target Customer List, analyze customers and develop strategies for effective Marketing Plans.
Be responsible for contacting Target Customers on a regular basis to promote Gateway FS products and services.
Effectively delegate duties and responsibilities to location employees for the efficient operation of the Waltonville Facility.
Attend all training and educational sessions as directed by respective department supervisors.
Be responsible for effective Public Relation activities which promote Gateway FS in local communities.
Work effectively with all Sales Specialists in all sales and marketing activities in the Waltonville area.
At all times be aware of competitive grain pricing and grain purchasing programs.
Maintain proper billing and accounting procedures for all products and services marketed by Gateway FS, as deemed necessary by the Controller.
Maintain adequate inventory of all products according to customer needs and recommendations by the sales specialists for that area.
It is the responsibility of the location manager to see that the facility grounds, elevator and equipment are kept neat, clean and maintained in compliance with insurance and government regulations, and with established Company policies.
To display good judgment, positive attitude and enthusiasm in dealing with customers and fellow employees.
On a daily basis, be responsible for offering customer service at a level that exceeds customer expectations.
Is responsible for training and counseling all employees at assigned location on proper customer service techniques, procedures and methods of implementation.
To maintain an active interest in self-development and personal improvement.
Other duties as assigned from time to time to insure the aims and objectives of the Company are met.
Other Job Requirements:
Walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, talking and hearing may be required throughout most of the above job functions.
At times, this individual might be required to lift more than fifty pounds.
Be capable of walking up stairways, steps, and ladders to a minimum height of six feet.
