Job Posting for Assistant Supervisor at Gateway Youth Outreach, Inc.

We are looking for a competent After School Assistant Supervisor to undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks. You will be working together with the Site Supervisor and Program Coordinator in planning and organizing programs and activities as well as carry out important operational duties. You must be organized and detail-oriented, comfortable working with diverse teams. If you have skills in program development and working with children, we’d like to meet you. The goal will be to facilitate the effective management of our After School program according to the organization’s standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • At least 2 or more years of experience working with children under the age of 13 years-old.
  • Desire to work with children in a school age setting
  • Must be reliable, detail-oriented, motivated, and personable
  • Must be a strong leader and able to work independently and/or with a team
  • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and follow through on assignments to effectively manage work tasks and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work well under pressure
  • Must have a car and a valid driving license

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safety and wellness of students
  • Handle day-to-day planning and execution of the after school program
  • Interact with students, parents, and school staff
  • Assist in managing deadlines
  • Support planning and coordination of a program and its activities
  • Ensure implementation of policies and practices
  • Support growth and program development

Skills

  • Tech savvy, proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and efficient'
