Meet Our TeamAs a key contributor to our clinical team, you will work closely with our clients by providing nursing treatment services to our clients at one of our treatment facilities. You will work alongside other nurses and peers, and will report to the Nurse Manager at your respective facility. The nursing team is responsible for delivering recovery based clinical services to individuals, monitor patient vitals and medication intake, maintain and submit accurate and timely clinical information within our Electronic Heath Records system, and will have significant to advance understanding of how the therapeutic behavioral health programs operation and how clients progress through the treatment system and full continuum of care.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do At Gaudenzia:

  • Perform initial nursing assessment for clients within 24 hours of admission in accordance with established program policies and state regulation.
  • Arrange appropriate appointments with Health Care Providers to secure complete physical examinations, as well as required additional health screenings and supplemental tests.
  • Administer medications, as well supervise the self-administered medications, where appropriate and allowed by regulation.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and accurate records of same in compliance with governing regulations and agency policy.
  • Counsel clients on nutrition, health care, self-care, symptom management etc.
  • Ensure that clients have appropriate medical coverage to guarantee safety, adequate care, and provider compliance for payment.
  • Ensure proper storage of supplies as required by regulation.
  • Assist in the facilitation of special events, including, but not limited to: staff training, staff retreat, workshops and facility events.
  • Develop and implement health seminars, including, but not limited to: HIV/AIDS, nutrition, medication education, infectious diseases, mental health, etc.
  • Participate in treatment/multidisciplinary team meetings, as directed.
  • Implement and assure adherence to infection control policies and practices.
  • Provide education for clients regarding health, nutrition, safety, and medication compliance.
  • Maintain LPN license with good standing.
  • Other related duties as assigned by Nurse Manager or designee.

    Qualifications

     

     

    Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Must have good standing license (LPN) valid  in  in the state in which clinical will practice. Must also possess current CPR Certification.

     

    Experience: We welcome new graduates and newly licensed LPNs to apply for positions on our team. Must be licensed in the state of Pennsylvania.
