GavinHeath is partnering with a client in Greenwood Village, CO looking to add a Chief Financial Officer to their team. The role is a full time position.
Responsibilities
Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate, long range forecasting, and insurance activities for the organization
Playing an integral role in the finance organization and all aspects of the accounting operations, internal budgeting and results trackin, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll, and financial reporting
Assisting senior leaders in financial planning and results management
Analyzing companies financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management
Coordinating, preparing, and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for all business units
Implementing and managing cost controls and approval of purchasing across the organization
Developing and coordinating commericial bank relationships
Managing relationships with insurance providers and ensuring compliance
Managing and negotiating real estate property leases
Managing all property and sales tax and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes in the USA and Canada
Leading the efforts to further international expansion including legal, tax and insurance implications
Managing the treasury function and projecting cash flow
Building and scaling the accounting department as the company grows
Directs the controller in providing and directing procedures and computer application systems as neccessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services
Directs the treasurer in activities such as custodian of funds, securities, and assets of the organization
Appraises the organizations financial position and issues periodic reports on organizations financial stability, liquidity and growth
Coordinates tax reporting programs and investor relation activities
Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of corporation's annual report
Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization
Analyzes operational issues impacting functional groups and the whole organization and determines their financial impact
Qualifications
MBA in Finance, Accounting or Business
10 years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles
Experience working in a growing start up environment
Experience scaling a finance operation including ERP implementation and internal control development
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines
Experience in a service or manufacturing business with activity based project costing
Ability to multi-task in fast past environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
