Reporting to the Credit Manager, the ideal candidate for the position of Loan Documentation Manager must have the ability to manage the Centralized Note/Loan Documentation Department, including supervising all loan documentation, daily loan servicing activities and ensuring superior customer service standards are upheld. The ideal candidate must be able to build relationships and foster strong teamwork, to ensure the department’s success, in addition to possessing exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in meeting strict deadlines. This position requires an innovative, detailed-oriented individual, capable of multi-tasking, coaching and mentoring the team.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage the bank’s Note Department staff in coordinating and managing the commercial real estate, EXIM Bank and SBA loan servicing activities of the department;
Firm understanding of the current State & Federal regulatory changes affecting loan servicing activities;
Oversee and implement loan accounting function, with at least 4-5 years of expertise in this area;
Assist Loan Officers in the proper preparation of documents, while ensuring proper disbursement of loans in accordance with credit approvals;
Direct loan servicing activities to meet established goals and turnaround time, while meeting deadlines;
Maintain record functions and data input to the loan accounting system;
Oversee/prepare all commercial, commercial real estate, SBA and EXIM Bank loan documentation;
Perform UCC searches, filing, continuations and terminations;
Effectively execute new hire and existing employee training, supervising, coaching, directing, controlling, appraising, promoting and motivating;
Perform other duties assigned by Credit Manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Administration, or Economics, preferred;
Must have knowledge of insurance requirements [property, liability, BPP and Flood] and ability to solve title issues, while communicating effectively with title/ escrow companies in order to streamline loan closings;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position;
Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, and computer software skills
LaserPro Documentation software knowledge.
