Description

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day maintenance, and calibration activities of buildings, grounds and facilities at GBI with oversight of Process Mechanics, Facilities Technicians and Facilities Specialists. The Facilities Supervisor should have a thorough understanding of HVAC systems, compressed gas systems, boilers, and refrigeration systems. The Facilities Supervisor should also have a background in remote environmental monitoring systems. The Facilities Supervisor will work within a regulated environment and must have a solid understanding of quality assurance systems and good documentation practices. The Facilities Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all critical tasks are completed promptly to meet the Company's goals and clients' projects.

Reports to: Senior Manager Engineering Services

Specific Duties

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and systems.
  • Supports investigations as well as with the development and implementation of CAPAs.
  • Assists in the execution of the scheduled preventative maintenance and documentation of Work Orders.
  • Oversees and directs maintenance personnel with repairs.
  • Hold direct report team accountable for performance.
  • Conduct annual performance review of direct reports.
  • Support facilities readiness internal and external audits.
  • Oversight of REES Environmental Monitoring System.
  • Oversight of MasterControl PM and CAL module ensuring completion per schedule.
  • Support the purchase and implementation of new equipment and spare parts.
  • Identify the equipment, systems and processes that do not operate efficiently. Develop and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure that required parts are available for any/all planned projects, preventative maintenance, or repairs ahead of schedule.
  • Coordinates activities of contractors to ensure projects, maintenance and PM(s) are completed on time with supporting documentation.
  • Maintain HEPA recertification schedule with contractors ensuring cleanrooms and BSC/LFH remain in a state of compliance.
  • Plan and schedule the Boiler, Fire Extinguishers and Waste Management Annual PM and inspections.
  • Responsible for daily data logging/reviewing of the Environmental Monitoring System for Temperature and RH conditions.
  • Ensure the building and grounds are cleaned on an ongoing schedule including break room and rest rooms.

Requirements

Must have demonstrated knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in a regulated environment.

  • Trade school degree or certification in HVAC, Boilermaker, Electrician or similar with 8 years experience in a regulated facility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical with 4 years related pharmaceutical, biotech or medical devices experience.
  • Must have good technical writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and advance several tasks in parallel.
  • Experience supervising mechanical staff is required.
