What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Administrator position at GBM7 Transportation LLC?

We are small, quickly growing trucking company looking for a capable Office Administrator to help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the company. The ideal candidate has effective communication and management skills and can manage a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This job opening is for a part-time position, with incentives and opportunity for growth with a fast-paced trucking company.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10 am - 4pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answering phones, typing, photocopying, scanning, filing, ordering office/trucking supplies and mail distribution
  • Daily collection, scanning, and uploading of required documentation to process BOLs for payment
  • Assist with driver files maintenance, Safety and DOT compliance
  • Assisting with event planning, scheduling testing appointments, transportation, and hotel rooms for drivers
  • Communicating with a range of dispatchers, submitting carrier paperwork (BOL/POD/rate confirmation)
  • Submitting fuel reports
  • Providing assistance as needed with customer communications
  • Researching as directed
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 year Transportation, Logistics, or equivalent work experience(preferred)
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations strongly desired
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in PC usage and Microsoft office
  • Good attendance and time management
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus pay

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
