Experience and abilities, you will need:   Must have experience with bearing replacements, motor replacements, motor alignments, equipment rebuilds, preventive maintenance, compressor experience, screw conveyors, belt conveyors, elevators, gearboxes, and various pumps, etc. Must have satisfactorily completed a welders’ college course to be considered. High School Diploma or equivalent Three to five years of cement plant knowledge or related industry Stable work history. General mechanical and millwright skills Welding and fabrication experience preferred, but not required. Be able to perform the necessary mechanical repairs relative to cement plant operation. Basic Cement Process Manufacturing understanding. Be able to use necessary measuring devices, and tolerances understanding to perform the duties of the position. Lubrication system troubleshooting and system repairs, and Basic Hydraulics. Basic equipment part nomenclature understanding. Be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, sketches, and manufacturer’s specifications. Be able to operate oxy-acetylene and electrical welding and cutting equipment to satisfactorily weld or cut all types of metal in any position. Be able to make new equipment and machinery installations. Be able to make necessary motor and equipment alignments, and basic vibration and troubleshooting on equipment. Be able to apply proper safety requirements to any/all jobs being done Be able to perform such clean-up work as is necessary to keep tools, equipment, and working areas clean, orderly, and safe. Good physical condition as position requires bending, kneeling, walking, standing, climbing, stairs and lifting; high degree of manual dexterity and coordination and good eye/hand coordination.   What you will do: Make mechanical repairs on plant and quarry equipment and install new or replacement equipment.
