GCyber is seeking an experienced People Operations Manager to lead our human resources initiatives with a focus on creating a high-performance culture that aligns with our strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of talent management in a government contracting environment and will be a strategic thinker with a passion for employee engagement.
*This role will be full time onsite at GCyber’s office in Arlington, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
The People Operations Manager will be responsible for responsible for overseeing a range of functions from talent acquisition to employee relations, performance management, training and development, and fostering a positive company culture.
- Manage all aspects of recruiting and talent acquisition, including job posting, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives for recruiting top-tier talent in the IT sector with the necessary clearances and expertise
- Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring new hires integrate effectively into our mission-focused operations
- Design data-driven strategies for employee retention, focusing on career development, performance management, and employee satisfaction
- Support employee relations, fostering an open-door policy and addressing concerns in a timely and confidential manner
- Act as a facilitator working with managers for performance evaluations and feedback sessions to promote employee growth and address underperformance
- Facilitate professional development and training programs that empower our employees to stay at the forefront of the IT industry
- Ensure compliance with all government labor regulations and maintain comprehensive records regarding clearances, training, and certifications
- Spearhead programs to build a strong company culture that supports teamwork, continuous learning, and excellence in service delivery
- Administer overarching rewards and recognition programs that align with the company strategy and recognize outstanding employee achievements, contributions, and behaviors that embody the organization's core values and drive its mission forward.
- Manage benefits administration and support benefits comparisons and analysis to attract and retain top talent
- Collaborate with leadership to align the company's people strategy with business goals, particularly around scalability and agile response to market and government needs
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a people operations or related talent acquisition role, with at least 2 years of management experience
- Prior experience in the government contracting in DoD environments
- Proven track record of implementing successful talent management and cultural initiatives
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong understanding of HR technology systems and data analytics.
- Familiarity with the security clearance process and government compliance requirements.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
