What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitorial Worker/Supervisor position at GDI Services?
We are seeking an experienced janitorial day porter to join our team and maintain our facilities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial/commercial cleaning, environmental services, or other relevant cleaning experience.
Day Porter Responsibilities Include:
- Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and break rooms
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and carpet cleaners
- Assist with setting up for events or meetings as needed
- Ensure that all areas are safe, clean, and presentable for employees, clients, and visitors
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
-Previous experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and carpet cleaners
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
