The scope of the IT GEMS contract includes a full range of information technology (IT) services which include necessary hardware, software, and ancillary, components to support enterprise-level programs and environments. Support service areas include program management support, policy, procedures, and operations support, IT core services support, security compliance, customer and client services support, transformational IT support, and application migration support. HOW A CONFIGURATION SR MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Supports Subtask C.5.2.6 Change, Release, and Deployment Management. As the primary focal point for all changes, leads the Change, Release, and Deployment team and oversees the change management program. Responsible for reviewing and assessing the impact of change requests (CRs) on existing Configuration Items (CIs) and the security posture of RMF accredited systems/programs. Collaborates with DMDC and our functional teams to ensure changes are well-coordinated and executed without disruptions. Manages changes throughout their lifecycle, ensuring they are properly planned, tested, implemented, and reviewed. As part of our ITIL-based ITSM4Gov, integrates short-term planning with the change management process and monitors and analyzes metrics to ensure they reflect positive trends in the accuracy and quality of CRs. Identifies areas for improvement with our CSI2 program to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our change management process. Creates, updates, and maintains the Change Management Policy and Procedures (Del 36) in coordination with DMDC and within agreed timelines. Produces the Monthly Change Report (Del 42) within 30 days after contract award and monthly thereafter.
