Seasonal Product Placement Support/ Field Technician

Job Summary:

This role provides support to the processes related to the development of new varieties of soybeans in this territory.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Travel to field locations in IL, MO, IN and surrounding states to maintain the soybean plots throughout the growing season and into the harvest season.

· Evaluate and conduct data collection on experimental and commercial soybean varieties.

· Collaborate with 3rd-party vendors to ensure crops grow healthy.

· Partner with companies and farmers in the territory to locate future testing locations.

· Warehouse organizing and prepping products prior to planting season.

· Flexibility to travel up to 25% of the time

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to details

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Education and Experience:

· Associate’s Degree preferred

· CDL preferred

· Experience working with seed companies or breeding programs preferred

Physical Requirements:

· Periods of driving between field locations or sitting to perform computer work

· Periods of working outside in all types of weather conditions

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs of shifting weight (seed bags)
