Grand Rapids facility builds electronic communication components, communication centers, beacon transmitters. These communication parts tell the command center what to do.

As an Electronic Parts Inspector you will conduct detailed, in-depth first piece inspections to verify conformance to drawings, process data sheets, drawing notes, etc.

and to appropriately record inspection acceptances and rejections in a computerized database.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Role Summary :

Conduct detailed, in-depth first piece inspections to verify conformance to drawings, process data sheets, drawing notes, etc.

and to appropriately record inspection acceptances and rejections in a computerized database.

Perform dimensional inspection, using standard mechanical gaging, of purchased / fabricated electrical, mechanical, electromechanical parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies

printed wiring boards, machine / formed parts, rubber products, purchased and internally fabricated material to verify that the material is correct to the purchase order or process and that the parts are the correct color, type, uniformity, revision, and are fee from damage :

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, you will :

Use precision measuring tools such as verniers, micrometers, plug, pin, and thread gages, dial indicators, etc., to perform dimensional inspections.

Learn the operation of coordinate measuring equipment (CMM).

Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications as well as military, commercial and customer standards.

Follow individual sample and sample plan selection.

Learn and follow Company inspection / quality procedures.

Follow specific work instructions and work under minimum supervision.

Qualifications / Requirements

Prior electrical and mechanical inspection experience.

Knowledge of and an understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerances

Basic mechanical / fabrication knowledge for the inspection of mechanical products such as castings, forgings, machined parts, and sheet metal products.

Basic computer skills

Eligibility Requirements :

Have a High School Diploma / GED

Candidates must successfully complete a written GD&T assessment
