Job Description Summary
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will act as a key facilitator for corresponding manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for the quality, delivery, process, and cost of sheet metal fabricated and machined aircraft engine components. You will provide technical support to the manufacturing processes and work alongside other Manufacturing Engineer and shop floor personnel on a variety of tasks related to the supply chain manufacturing process.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with cross-functional teams to solve technical issues and to identify and implement manufacturing improvements
- Collaborate with quality and design resources to address product quality concerns, change in design requests, and design for manufacturability improvements.
- Facilitate collaboration across multiple functions to ensure product achieves targeted metrics
- Act as technical representative for product/hardware
- Utilize Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) to identify and implement short-term to mid-term process improvements
- Resolve issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures
- Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/ parameters
- Explains technical information to others
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of engineering and/or manufacturing experience.
