Job Description Summary

This role will serve as the site controller for a subsidiary of GE Aerospace within the Edison Works division. The role will support the company's strategic priority of a Lean monthly close to deliver accurate, timely and GAAP compliant financial information to internal and external stakeholders. The role will also work with GE Aerospace's Government Business Controllership team to maintain site compliance with financial and contractual regulations prescribed by the U.S. government.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Close subsidiary ledger in local ERP and GE Aerospace ERP on a monthly basis. This includes recording sales between internal and external GE customers and applying ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance to overtime accounted contracts.
• Oversee all accounting processes including but not limited to payroll, intercompany, accounts payable, fixed assets, cash and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and/or review general ledger account reconciliations
• Ensure the integrity of financial reporting data through the implementation and execution of internal controls over financial reporting
• Implement GE Aerospace accounting policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with government accounting (FAR) policies and procedures
• Develop and implement a plan to transition the local ERP to a more sophisticated platform
• Drive process improvement and simplification by leveraging Lean
• Coach and mentor junior staff

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizen
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
• 8-10 years of experience in accounting (technical and/or operational)

The base pay range for this position is $110,000-150,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the
candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/
