Roles and Responsibilities:
Form project teams for systems, software, and hardware development.
Develop integrated schedules with cost and staffing requirements.
Author Statements of Work for supplier work when necessary.
Lead engineering content for gate reviews (Tollgates) and participate in fact-finding meetings with customers.
Support or lead various management meetings and report to senior/executive leadership.
Develop and revise engineering project plans, managing scope, schedule, and cost changes.
Monitor and report project performance, including key metrics and variances.
Develop and execute risk management plans and assist in mentoring junior Engineering Project Managers.
Communicate business goals, programs, and processes effectively and solve problems using experience or expertise.
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments, focusing on safety and reliability.
Communicate with management on technical, organizational, resource, and personnel issues.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) .
Desired Characteristics:
Prior project or program management experience.
PMP certification.
Experience with systems, hardware, and software design.
Working knowledge of ARP-4754A and DO-178B/C.
Knowledge of ARINC 661, MIL-STD-1553, DO-254, MIL-STD-810.
Experience building effective teams and managing projects.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Working knowledge of Flight Recorders.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
