JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for developing and implementing power systems software applications for an Energy Management System.
- Implement power systems engineering solutions for unique customer requirements.
- Assist customers with troubleshooting problems related to the operation of mission critical, real-time systems.
- Respond to first-level requests of customers.
- Support the development of cost estimates and technical proposal.
- Work with marketing, sales, new product development, and customer project teams.
- Provide direct design, coding, and testing for domestic and international customers in the power systems area.
- Develop custom features and provide special services as requested.
- Write test procedures and complete Factory Acceptance Tests to support system cutover.
- Provide technical assistance with cost estimate quotations and technical proposals, hands-on remote and on-site support, test procedures, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and system cutover.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree, or foreign degree equivalent in Electrical Engineering with coursework in power systems and generation track such as Fundamentals of Power Systems
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
- Some work or academic experience in optimal power flow in Energy Management System (EMS).
- Some work or academic experience in optimization algorithms.
- Some work or academic experience in renewables such as solar, battery storage and EV.
- Some work or academic experience in combined cycle
- Some work or academic experience in using Python, C and SQL.
- Some work or academic experience with power systems applications.
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

- Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure
- Implement power systems engineering solutions for unique customer requirements.
- Assist customers with troubleshooting problems related to the operation of mission critical, real-time systems.
- Respond to first-level requests of customers.
- Support the development of cost estimates and technical proposal.
- Work with marketing, sales, new product development, and customer project teams.
