As the Used Car Manager at Ron Tonkin Hyundai, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pre-owned vehicle sales operations. This includes managing inventory, pricing, marketing strategies, and the overall profitability of our used car department. You will work closely with our sales team to ensure that customer needs are met and exceeded while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
Used Car Manager Responsibilities
- Manage the acquisition, appraisal, and pricing of pre-owned vehicles.
- Oversee the reconditioning and detailing process to ensure that vehicles meet quality standards.
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract buyers and maximize sales opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay informed about pricing and inventory strategies.
- Train and motivate sales staff to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and financial transactions.
- Collaborate with finance and insurance departments to optimize revenue opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Qualifications
Used Car Manager Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive sales management, preferably in the pre-owned vehicle segment.
- Strong understanding of vehicle valuation, pricing strategies, and market trends.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Proficiency in dealership management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in the automotive industry.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Corporate hiring requirements: 18 years or older with a clean driving record, valid driver's license, able to pass criminal background, and drug screen – THC not included in the screening.
