Summary:
The Senior Business Analyst acts as an intermediary between the business and the technology teams. The Senior Business Analyst is an active thought partner and application visionary that shapes the technology demand among the business.
The Senior Business Analyst works with project teams and business clients to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design (using appropriate tools and models) from which IT solutions are estimated and developed in accordance with business priorities. As well as:
Work with executive and senior leaders to creating and maintain an operating plan to achieve the strategic vision and operating platform that defines the people, processes, tools, and technology for that business unit.
Partner with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical & functional requirements.
Analyze, document and test program development, logic, process flows and specifications.
Partner with business to conduct user acceptance testing.
Document user manuals to describe application installation and operating procedures.

- Ability to manage a range of activities in a busy and fast-changing operating environment.
- Strong understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards.
- Modeling Techniques: Object Orientation analysis, UML (e.g. Use Cases, Activity Diagrams).
- Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications.
Education/Equivalent:
- Experience in Utilities (water or electric) industries preferred.
- Experienced in major integration of business change projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.
- Certification from the International Institute of Business Analysis or similar
- ITIL certification preferred
Work Experience Needed:
- At least 5-7 years of IT Business Analysis experience working closely with the business and managing the relationship.
- Experience leading projects and programs within and outside IT, as well as projects and programs that involved external providers.
- Experience working in a PMO structured environment

Salary: $55.51 - $68.11 per hour
