Summary
At GeekHive, we're seeking a qualified sales development representative (SDR) to find and qualify potential customers who can benefit from our products and services. You should be a fast-learning hunter with solid communication skills and have the ability to boost top-line revenue growth through customer acquisition. As the first line of communication with prospects, your goal would be to find creative ways to seek new business opportunities while engaging and building relationships with potential customers.
Base salary: $65,000 plus commission
What you will do:

  • Build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential sales outlets utilizing current outreach tools and methodologies to engage qualified prospects
  • Collaborate with the sales team on account strategy to ensure the company's goals and targets are met
  • Participate in daily sales standup meetings to speak to outreach activity and update the sales team on potential sales leads
  • Perform regular follow-up calls or emails and facilitate communication with prospects to ensure their satisfaction and identify potential needs
  • Develop efficient and repeatable outreach strategies to best represent GeekHive's products and services, while focusing on a comprehensive understanding of customer pain points in order to suggest appropriate solutions
  • Manage a pipeline of inbound leads through the marketing funnel, connecting them to a salesperson, and arranging meetings for the respective parties
  • Leverage Salesforce to maintain the most accurate and up to date record of the company sales pipeline
  • Cultivate a strong and communicative relationship with the sales team to set closers up for success

What we look for:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • 1-2 years of proven excellence in business development or inside sales
  • A clear understanding of marketing technology is preferred
  • Outbound lead generation and inbound lead qualification experience
  • A track record of working within a collaborative sales environment
  • A clear understanding of technical products and/or services being sold in past positions
  • Proven business development success through effective use of core sales tools: Various CRMs, Salesforce, Salesloft, Gong, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Working knowledge of the prospect's industry, sales process, competition and compelling events to make effective and meaningful conversations
  • Ability to reach out to potential leads, or promptly follow up with those who have inquired about your company and offerings via phone, email and social media
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales prospecting techniques like cold calling, cold emailing and social outreach
  • Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently, while achieving production goals from assigned set of accounts
  • Hunter mentality and consistent drive to exceed
  • Strong, professional communication and organizational skills - written, verbal, presentation
