Operations Manager

Geetings Inc, a 50 year old family business, is searching for an Operations Manager. We’re looking to expand our management team through the trucking side of the business. Currently searching for someone who is analytical, self-motivated, good with people and not afraid of challenges.

The ideal candidate will have an ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs. The candidate should be comfortable multitasking and working with a variety of employees in different types of positions, all related to the trucking industry. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in related fields, such as, trucking and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain business standards for safety, efficiency and reliability of service
• Back-up dispatch during vacation or sickness periods
• Manage employees such as drivers, dispatch and maintenance facility
• Prepare annual performance review and reevaluate processes
• Ensure regulatory, compliance and legal rules are followed through the Department of Transportation
• Manage budget to align with goals of business
• Fuel, mileage and tax reporting
• Manage workflow and special projects
• Work with management team to update equipment annually
• Oversee current rates and negotiate contracts with current, and new customers
• Interview new drivers and build an onboarding process

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong ability to multitask
• Comfort working with multiple groups within business
