Reporting into the Vice President Communications and Marketing Strategy, the Growth Strategy Manager is a marketing leader who will develop clearly defined marketing and communication strategies that engage prospects in the federal employee, federal retiree and military retiree market to drive GEHA subscriber and member growth. They will act as a driving force working with GEHA’s product development, internal creative team, performance marketing team and/or agency, to translate business goals into a comprehensive marketing communications plan with actionable tactics. This role requires a mix of analytical and creative thinking skills and may be responsible for overseeing research, developing insights, competitive analysis, creating project briefs, collaborating on marketing and communication strategies and managing day-to-day tactics for specific projects and campaigns.

Responsibilities
- Translate business goals into comprehensive and thoughtful marketing and communication plans and strategies that meet GEHA’s business objectives; assess progress against goals and provide creative counsel to internal stakeholders to continually address needs.
- Foster and cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders to become an “expert” in helping them prioritize and meet their goals and priorities. This includes understanding emerging trends and developing project briefs with measurable KPIs that support department and corporate goals.
- Partner with internal Creative team, Customer Experience, Digital Excellence, Analytics, Project Management, product development, performance marketing, sales and other GEHA teams, Sales and/or external agencies to outline marketing and communication plans that achieve GEHA’s priority subscriber growth goals.
- Assure all projects are executed within agreed timelines and align with the approved project brief.
- Keep internal stakeholders informed on project status and manage expectations.
- Report on the performance of marketing and communications initiatives, including observations, insights, and recommendations for future enhancements to improve effectiveness.

Requirements: Education & Experience
- Four-year degree in communications, marketing or related field or a combination of education and relevant experience totaling four years.
- Seven years’ experience in marketing strategy development or equivalent.
- Experience driving strategic planning for an organization or agency.
- Provide a sample portfolio of project briefs and/or marketing or communication plans with corresponding campaign results.
- In-depth understanding of the entire integrated marketing spectrum, including traditional and digital channels.
- Must be a self-starter who is comfortable working individually and collaboratively.
- Deadline driven with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Requires excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field.
- Knowledge of the health care industry, with emphasis on insurance and health care management.
- Experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sprout Social Studio, Hootsuite and Workfront project management software.
Work-at-home requirements
- Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
- Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
- Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
- A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

The annual base salary range for this position is $93,796 - $131,404 USD.
