Responsibilities:
The Operations Manager manages and provides leadership for all activities, processes and personnel relating to the plumbing, HVAC, and Sales teams!
- Provide leadership and direction for the HVAC and Plumbing business to enable consistent profitable growth.
- Oversee the preparation and analyze daily and monthly reports pertaining to the company’s service and install activities. Must have Service Titan experience.
- Recommend and implement changes to the service, install, and dispatch processes and procedures of the business to improve operational performance.
- Oversee the monitoring and routing of service work.
- Review and edit all commercial contracts and invoices before submitting to vendor.
- Ensure the effective training and development of field staff.
- Identify training needs and coordinate implementation of training programs.
- Understands dispatching right tech to the right call to create the best opportunities for sales.
- Understands how important it is for calls to be booked in the office creating opportunities for technicians (right tech right call). Oversee call booking rate.
- Helps with interviews and acquiring talent to round out the team.
- Manages fleet, reports, uniforms, vendors issues, customer service issues, special equipment issues, permit submission and training.
- Is the right hand of the GM- aligned in goals and business outlook--- fills in where the GM needs help.
- Helps drive the staff and departments- provides coaching when needed. Can fill in as a department manager during vacations or absences.
- Attends Daily Leadership meetings—usually helps with follow up and adjustments needed after the meeting.
- Sales focused- support processes with the sales manager until you reach 14M. May be able to add a small bonus kicker if they help you hit 10% above your annual goals in revenue for sales.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of five years’ experience or supervising Service and/or Install functions required. An understanding of HVAC and Plumbing a requirement.
- Full grasp of the HVAC and Plumbing business—experience in service management and sales management is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business field is preferred. Significant relevant experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.
- Experience with Service Titan a requirement.
- Management and / or supervisory experience over 10 years is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
