Answers department telephone and routes calls correctly, depending on location.
Prepares medical records for scanning and scans into appropriate database.
Performs Quality Control on scanned records.
Performs Indexing and Validation of scanned documents to ensure documentation is scanned to the correct document name.
Verifies all scanned records are viewable in the proper encounter within electronic health records.
Updates chart tracking system for non-electronic historical medical records being signed out of the department.
Retrieves/refiles paper records and microfilm upon request, if stored on site.
