GEM is knowledgeable in the complexity of regulations with Rural Development, HUD, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Programs. Description of Job: The Housekeeper is responsible for the day-to-day cleaning of property buildings assigned. This includes responding to cleaning work orders, ensuring upkeep of building interiors and exteriors, executing cleaning programs as instituted by management and policy/procedure, and compliance with company and agency regulations.
Job Duties/Skills:
- Clean and maintain property, buildings, and amenities including removal of trash, sweeping/mopping, disinfection, cleaning of restrooms, restocking household items (towels, chemicals, soaps, hand sanitizers, etc), cleaning of break areas, cleaning of grounds, etc.
- Observe all fair housing rules and regulations and comply with company policies and procedures.
- Assure needed reporting is done with accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the care and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the company.
- Reports any maintenance needs to supervisor.
- Inspects and reports any lighting outages (interior or exterior) to supervisor.
- Operate within OSHA and company standards.
- Any other tasks as assigned by the employee’s supervisor/manager and/or in accordance with business needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: None required
- Physical Abilities: This is a labor intensive position with frequent bending/stooping/standing, exposure to chemicals and the elements, frequent lifting of 20 pounds, occasional lifting of 50 pounds, ability to walk over multiple types of surfaces.
- Interpersonal Abilities: Teamwork, integrity
Special Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Infrequent travel up to 10%
