Job Summary:

Gem State Family Law is seeking an energetic and outgoing individual to become a part of our team.

The Family Law Paralegal will assist our Attorneys and have frequent interaction with clients. Excellent communication and client service skills are a must.

The successful applicant will have a client service mindset, be highly organized/detail-oriented, be able to work independently, and be self-motivated.

Duties:

-Communicate with clients and potential clients

-Assist with client intake/file management on Clio

- Filing/service of Pleadings with the Court

-Provide general administrative support such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars

- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates

- Manage attorney calendars and ensure deadlines are met

- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings by phone and email

- Prepare first drafts of correspondence and legal documents

- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and building exhibit books.

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Family Law Paralegal a major plus

- Paralegal certification preferred, but relevant experience acceptable substitute

- Familiarity with legal case management software (Clio)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Adobe

- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

- Strong project management skills

-Mac (Apple) familiarity

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
