Job Summary
This position in the shipping department is intended to ship all Gemini products for customers accurately and in a timely manner, assist co-workers when needed and be able to accurately pull small orders.
Responsibilities
- Understand the palletizing of products to ensure products are not damaged or dumped in transit.
- Assist other co-workers in palletizing products on pallets and wrapping them.
- Be able to read all picking lists thoroughly and have a clear understanding of all containers (size, weight, etc.)
- Be able to learn the basics of pulling orders and be able to accurately pull a small order.
- Follow all safety rules and assure work practices are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all company rules and policies.
- Be able to work as part of a team and alone.
- Work with employees to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain a positive attitude in all situations.
- Report for all scheduled shifts on time and return from breaks and lunches in a timely manner.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Basic Math skills
- Effective communication skills (i.e. reading and writing)
- 3 month's warehouse experience preferred
- 3 month's experience operating an electric pallet jack or forklift preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Exemplify professionalism in personal appearance, manner and dress according to acceptable standards set by the company.
- Possess a high work ethic, moral and personal integrity, and honesty.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
Requirements
- 18 years of age.
- Submit to pre-employment testing (Drug Screening, Background Check, Physical Abilities Test).
