Electrical Design Engineer

We're seeking a results-orientated, experienced engineer interested in supporting the development of new methods and systems for wearable computing as part of a multi-year research and product development project funded by the National Institutes of Health.

This position requires a minimum of five years commercial experience in designing, building and testing highly compact PCB systems based on ARM processors. Experience developing systems with MEMS sensors, cellular modems and powered by an embedded Linux/Android OS is highly desirable. Enthusiasm and the ability to participate in a small team environment focused on solving interesting and complex problems is a must.


Required

-Minimum of five years experience designing, building and testing ARM-based PCB systems.

-Ability to innovate in a real-world problem-solving small team environment.

-Ability to work both individually and as a team member, with or without supervision.

-Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.


Highly Desirable Experience

-GPS/GSM tracking

-Wireless telephony stack (LTE).

-Sensors, especially accelerometers, gyros and pulse-oximetry.

-Voice enabled wake-up and conversational interfaces.

-Qualcomm processors and modems.

-Excellent oral and written communication skills.

This position is based in the vibrant Cincinnati area. Our offices, overlooking the spectacular Cincinnati skyline, are within walking distance to downtown restaurants, entertainment, parks and major league sporting events, and are less than a 20-minute drive to an international airport.
