QUANTITATIVE SYSTEMS ANALYST
Position Description
NEAM has an opening for a Quantitative Systems Analyst within our Quantitative Solutions team supporting our Capital and Risk Analytics (CARA®) platform. The Quantitative Systems Analyst will work closely with our Trading and Enterprise Capital Strategy Teams to implement industry leading models and applications that drive NEAM’s investment and risk management process. The position will be involved in the full lifecycle of NEAM’s development process including design, architecture, development, implementation, tuning, production support and maintenance.
Your responsibilities:
Work closely within a team of developers to enable NEAM’s investment business through technology
Develop risk and analytical models used for making asset allocation and investment decisions
Design and lead the engagement strategy for key modeling and analytics capabilities Apply big data visualization techniques to translate information into a visual context
Contribute to the design and development of analytical solutions and thought leadership initiatives and publications, addressing industry challenges, and showcasing CARA® capabilities and solutions
Support and maintain production processes and infrastructure
Collaborate with team to develop new features for CARA® platform
Qualifications
We seek an individual who has the proven ability to work and communicate effectively in a small team setting, and to deliver tangible results and practical solutions. This person must have excellent interpersonal, critical thinking skills, and intellectual curiosity. The desire to challenge themselves and improve our software implementations, and the passion to contribute with innovative solutions to serve our investment professionals and global insurance clients.
Key additional requirements include:
Degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Statistics, or similarly relevant area; Advanced degree a plus
Experience with object-oriented programming languages (preferably C , C #, Java), SQL and analytical packages such as R or Python
Keen interest in financial markets, statistical modelling, and the ability to comprehend the impact of market events
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Adaptable, can adjust priorities to meet fluctuating conditions or needs CFA designation is desirable but not required
What you will learn:
