Gen3 Interconnect is an engineering, manufacturing and supply chain solution provider. Our facility is in the Grand Rapids area with a primary focus on wiring harnesses serving primarily the marine and defense industries. While this company is a start-up, it is part of a larger portfolio of businesses with a strong support network and a proven track record of success in several markets. The purpose of Quality Manager position is to ensure that the quality and safety of products meet company, customer, and regulatory standards and requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops, implements, and maintains the Quality Management System
- Lead company’s efforts in continued ISO and AS9100 certification and compliance
- Establish and execute the internal and supplier quality audit plan
- Prepares organization for third-party audits and maintains inspection reports and records.
- Responsible for conducting monthly management review against organizational KPI’s
- Responsible for conducting annual review of company performance against established metrics
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure that process controls are robust, error proof the processes
- Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with Operations to maximize product reliability.
- Leads a team of both quality technicians and quality engineers
- Creates/Fosters an environment of accountability to quality standards, work instructions, and customer expectations.
- Develops, maintains, and provides training materials per the Training Program for production personnel.
- Lead the root cause identification and correction process
- Willing to travel to various business locations to ensure a thorough understanding of our products, processes and facilities.
- Any other task as requested by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, preferred
- Experience: Minimum 7 years' experience, preferred
- Industry: Electrical/Electronics Manufacturing, preferred
- Knowledge: IPC 610, IPC 620, J-STD-001, preferred
- Computer Skills: Advanced Microsoft Office experience, required
- Minimum 3 years’ of leadership experience, preferred
- US Citizenship Required
