The Technical Development Scientist position is available in the Analytical Development and Quality Control - Biological Technologies organization.
The candidate will develop, optimize, and validate biochemical/immunochemical and cell-based assays in support of our clinical products. They will collaborate with multidisciplinary and cross functional teams to develop novel cell-based potency methods for products with complex mechanism of action in support of process development, characterization, formulation screens, and GMP quality control of product release and stability. The individual will be responsible for authoring test procedures, technical reports, regulatory filings or responses to Health Authority Q&A, and summarizing/presenting data and participating in group meetings and/or project teams.
Expectations may also include routine lab maintenance, writing test procedures, protocols, technical reports, and summarizing/presenting data and participating in group meetings and/or project teams. Additional responsibilities may include developing data analysis approaches/templates for new assays, routine lab maintenance and equipment qualification, and supporting inspection readiness with other groups/sites.

Requirements:
B.S., M.S. in Biological Sciences, an in-depth understanding of the fundamental of cell biology and/or Immunology with 2-6 years of industry experience is strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience in the development, performance, and troubleshooting of biochemical/immunochemical and cell-based assays to be used for characterization
Demonstrate ability to work independently as well as with a team, handle multiple projects, demonstrate initiative, and adapt to fast paced projects.
Must have strong attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills.

This role may be filled at the Technical Development Scientist 1 or 2 level. The position description is aligned with the TD Scientist 1 level.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $77,200 to $143,400 (level 1) or $95,400 to $177,200 (level 2). Annual Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
