The Role
As a Senior Designer, you will create clear and consistent experiences for both our internal GA team and our communities around the world. On a daily basis, you will support design leadership in expanding the General Assembly brand, playing a key role in how GA communicates and expresses its brand identity globally.
As a strong concepter and storyteller, you’ll be responsible for working collaboratively to create forward-thinking digital campaigns and collateral, amplifying our message seamlessly across multiple channels and platforms alongside other content creators to solve business needs and stand out amongst our competitors. This role will also be crucial in the development and implementation of GA’s social media strategy across multiple platforms. Helping to assess and redefine creative best practices along the way, you’ll collaborate with business stakeholders to leverage user research and insights to improve the consumer journey.
Responsibilities

Alignment and unity: Work collaboratively with copy, product, video, and operations functions to develop, build and adhere to a cohesive and strong narrative across global collateral, including GA’s brand book and style guides.

Content innovation: work with content creators to amplify our message to all our audiences in ways that surprise and delight.

Deliver outstanding stakeholder presentations: Present clear and compelling concepts to stakeholders like Marketing, enterprise and product, while managing expectations.

Follow through the creative process: You’ll work on projects from concept to delivery, creating solutions that are creatively brilliant and strategically on point with a concentration in digital and social media. You’ll also review junior designers’ and freelancers’ work to ensure quality.

Stay ahead of new trends: You’ll need to have a pulse on culture and trends, bringing outside insight to your work

Inspiring & motivating others: Be a steward of the design team and actively participate in kickoffs, workstreams, and find solutions to a range of challenges.
Qualifications/Skills

5 years of agency experience, working on integrated, cross-channel campaigns, social and web work

A collaborative mindset to both generates and build upon solutions and strategies.

Ability to Keep an eye on the big picture – Strategic thinking who can seamlessly marry business objectives with creative solutions.

Polished client presentation skills demonstrating a clear vision of how the work addresses the stakeholder challenge

Take constructive feedback well, have energy, a sense of humor and an open & curious mind (yes, these things really do matter)

Demonstrates mastery of typography, composition, and color, with a vast knowledge of the digital landscape and conceptual development skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey ideas and communicate within project workflows across a broad range of people.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; personal initiative; reliability, flexibility and follow-up; grace under pressure
