Position Summary

General Atlantic is looking for an Operations Generalist to support the continued build-out and evolution of our Human Capital Operations function. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to understand the firm’s structure, goals, and values to support key people processes throughout the employee life cycle. A high-level of organization, attention to detail and communication skills will be critical to a candidate’s success in this role, as well as ability and desire to learn and use technologies to optimize execution. This position reports into the Vice President, Head of HCM Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Life Cycle Management:
    • Key lead between Recruiting, HRBP and Operations to ensure employees and contingent workers are successfully managed through the employee life cycle including but not limited to onboarding, benefits administration, leave of absences, promotions, immigration needs and/or terminations.
    • Ability to understand end to end needs, define process, and take ownership in defining and building out all areas of life cycle.
  • Workday HRIS Management:
    • Key liaison with IT department to ensure they understand our business needs and objectives when developing system solutions related to key HCM processes, such as Onboarding, Benefits Open Enrollment and Performance Management
    • Communicate requirements and test development of features for the IT department to deploy in Workday along with other HCM Operations team members.
    • Ability to understand the processes to and to take ownership/partnership in communicating development needs to IT.
  • Human Capital Annual Process Management:
    • Drive forward the administration and operations of the annual performance management and promotions process with HRBP team (i.e., calendar, communications, forms).
  • Human Capital Policies & Compliance:
    • Support the maintenance and distribution of HCM policies and statutory compliance requirements for all employees globally, including but not limited to such areas such as leave requirements, time and absence, anti-harassment, etc.
    • Partner with Head of HCM Operations to ensure we remain compliant with country-specific requirements and stays abreast of changes; amend handbooks or policies as needed.
  • Engagement Strategy:
    • Support the development of engagement surveys to tap into the pulse of the organization and use data / analytics to drive insights and recommendations.
  • Special Projects:
    • Ability to create a project plan, define deliverables, track progress and solve problems on various ad hoc special projects for the HCM Operations team, as needs arise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5 years of experience working in an HR Operations or HR Generalist role is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to be proactive, solve problems, think ahead, and multi-task daily
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to learn to use various other internal software tools quickly
  • Experience working with Workday strongly preferred
  • High energy and positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a face-paced environment and retain professionalism and accuracy
  • Ability to work across all offices globally
  • Demonstrable project management skills, including with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to juggle a high-volume workload and competing priorities
  • A strong work ethic and motivated, flexible nature, team-player spirit, ability to maintain composure at all times

General Atlantic offers a robust reward program to all employees that will support you and your family, maintaining fulfilling, secure and healthy lives now and into the future, which includes but is not limited to medical insurance, retirement savings contributions, mental and physical health resources and an equal pay program that allows you to earn a base salary of $130,000-150,000, of which the exact amount offered will be driven by the degree to which you meet role requirements, additional special skills and experience. Additional reward programs, such as annual discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive programs, are available for eligible employees and are offered as recognition for performance and one’s contributions towards the organization’s success.
