Medical Fill Plant Technician

Job Description

Summary/objective

To actively participate in fill-plant operations within both industrial and medical plants. Responsibilities include high and low-pressure cylinder filling and liquid vessel filling of industrial and medical gases while ensuring compliance with all federal regulations, including FDA, DOT, and OSHA.

Responsibilities:

• Fill high and low-pressure cylinders, as well as liquid cylinders, adhering to company policies and regulations. Primarily focused on industrial fill plant operations with occasional rotation into the medical plant as needed.
• Assist in the orderly loading of delivery vehicles.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required regulatory forms.
• Adhere to all company safety guidelines and government-mandated safety regulations.
• Attend monthly safety and plant meetings as scheduled.
• Assist with any other duties or responsibilities necessary to optimize distribution and operational efficiency.

Reports Prepared:

• Truck load manifest.
• Pumpers, calibration, and full cylinders logs as required by FDA.

Interface:

Internal: Maintain effective communication across all levels within the organization, particularly with branch staff and customer service.

External: Foster positive relationships with customers and external compliance representatives.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous industry experience is preferred but not required.

Special Requirements:

• Ability to adapt and remain flexible in handling various situations.
• Proficient in basic mathematical calculations and accurately entering information on logs and reports.
• Effective planning and organization skills for truckloads.
• Vision correctable to normal range for driving and completing reports.
• Capable of lifting products and materials of varying sizes and weights, sometimes exceeding 300 pounds.
• Comfortable working in diverse and occasionally challenging weather and working conditions.
• Position involves sitting, bending, stooping, and climbing.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.

• Office equipment, including computer and fax.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
