Project/ Senior Project Manager, Facilities Business Controls

Job Description

Bath Iron Works is seeking a candidate who enjoys a dynamic high-energy, high-impact environment to join our Facilities team. In this role you’ll serve as a Project Manager specializing in analytics and leading small to medium sized projects associated with the Facilities Business and Process controls group. The BIW Facilities department maintains and supports over 85 buildings across multiple facilities, the department also encompasses the Environmental Health & Safety Department, the Security Department as well as Cranes & Rigging Production Operations. This role will support the above departments with the management and oversite of core disciplines such as; Cost & Resource Planning, Analytics, Metrics Creation and Maintenance, Reporting and Software Technical Support. The prospective candidate will also be required to support process and procedure development. Core requirements will require the candidate to have well balanced experience in disciplines such as Project Management, Finance, Business Management, Analytics and Administration.

Core Cost and Resource Planning requirements: - Manage & maintain the BIW EVMS Cost System for the direct funded portion of Facilities, EHS, Security and Cranes and Rigging- Manage budgeting projections for Overhead & Capital accounts- Manage Direct Resource/EAC “lockdown” process for Facilities, EHS and Cranes & Rigging- Support operations and capital Project Managers with tracking funding depletion status & burn rates- Coordinate and compile Capital cost analysis and reporting internally and externally- Work closely with Capital Director and Managers to ensure accurate cost reporting and forecasting- Compile & monitor cost performance metrics, Facilities, EHS and Cranes & Rigging- Educate Directors, Managers and Section Managers on individual account performance- Responsible for internal & external performance reporting Core Analytics, Metrics Creation/Maintenance and Reporting requirements:- Demonstrated ability to integrate and stratify data from multiple disparate data sources- Demonstrated ability to create meaningful/actionable business control metrics - Demonstrated ability to report out accurate data to the highest levels of the organization- Reporting data in a format the is easily comprehended by the intended customer - Ability to create relationship between data set where they may not currently existCore Software, Technical Support and Data Maintenance requirements:- Technical familiarity with BIW software such as Maximo, ATICTS, CribMaster, SAP and WFM- Ability to analyze associated data sets find commonalities create relationships- Work as a Facilities technical representative to DXC & BIW IT - Ability to cleanse errant data from systems to ensure data accuracy - Ensure configuration management across multiple data platforms

Required/Preferred Education/Training

Required:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or other Technical field or at least 3-5 years equivalent combination of education and experience with demonstrated experience working in and around a manufacturing or facilities environment - Financial and Operational analytics experience required- High School Diploma or GED

Required/Preferred Experience

Required:Project Manager (D Band): 0-3 years of manufacturing or facility experience, or experience in; Project Management, Cost Accounting, Finance, Information Technology and/or Estimating

Senior Project Manager (E Band): 3 years of manufacturing or facility experience, or experience in; Project Management, Cost Accounting, Finance, Information Technology and/or Estimating

- Ability to lead multi-disciplined teams towards a common goal- Financial model development experience- Experience with, and ability to develop, procedures and modify/edit technical documentation- Strong oral and written communication skills - Intermediate to expert Microsoft Excel and Access skillsPreferred:- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate summary level analysis effectively- Experience with IBM Maximo, SAP, DELTEK wInsight, Cobra, WFM- Experience with Earned Value Management Systems and associated software toolset
