GDIT is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist in Fort Meade, MD to join the configuration management team for infrastructure sustainment supporting our ITPMS program (Information Technology Project Management Services) at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in Fort Meade, MD.
Successful candidate will be responsible for developing and/or maintaining configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, and reporting. Perform configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure operating parameters are documented, comply with standard configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Design, develop, automate, and/or maintain productivity tools. May develop configuration standards for customer-wide use. May train others in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of quality standards.
Additional responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
Manage and maintain CM systems related to one or more of the following: hardware, software, documentation, and/or requirements.
Collect and analyze performance data pertaining to configuration management.
Facilitate monthly Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Create meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
Process, distribute and track engineering change requests (ECRs) through the CCB change management process.
Maintain configuration control records and technical documents.
Maintain the CCB Charter and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Develop and maintain a Configuration Item (CI) baseline.
Provide technical expertise and make recommendations to the Government in the development and maintenance of CM processes and procedures.
REQUIRED Qualifications:
Ability to obtain an active Secret (or Interim Secret) security clearance PRIOR to start of employment.
0-2 years of Configuration Management experience
Excellent written and verbal communication
MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
DESIRED Qualifications:
Active Secret security clearance
Knowledge of SharePoint
