Our work depends on Electronics Technician Maintenance II joining our team to use a comprehensive knowledge of electronic principles and theory to overhaul, test, troubleshoot, repair and adjust a wide variety of complex missile components electronic assemblies, subassemblies, components, etc.
HOW AN ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN MAINTENANCE II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Overhauls, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and adjusts a wide variety of complex missile components and related devices of complete guided missile guidance, flight control and navigational subsystems in the SPARROW, PHOENIX, SIDEWINDER, MAVERICK missiles.
- Environmental test, verification of complex electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, computerized, and semiautomatic missile test systems.
- Performs inspections and the operational checkout of guidance and flight control sections of guided missiles according to procedures outlined in TMs, DMWRs, and test specifications.
- Electronic counter measures, counter-counter measures, fuzing circuits, doppler radar, computer tracking systems, antenna systems, gyro systems, with associated software and Computer programming systems for flight simulation.
- Provide assistance to sub-journeyman in the lower level testing, troubleshooting, modification, and repair of less complex subassemblies.
- Perform certified soldering in accordance with current specifications.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science and 1 year experience or 3 yrs in lieu of degree.
- Required Technical Skills: A thorough knowledge of operating electronic principles and theories in order to troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions on a wide variety of electronic chassis and circuitry.
- Comprehensive knowledge about the fabrication, repair and test of standard electronic systems and highly complex subsystems.
- Knowledge of the principles and diagnostic techniques of the latest state of the art computer controlled automatic, semiautomatic, manual, and semi manual test equipment used in testing guided missiles.
- Skill to operate various precision measuring devices such as spectrum analyzers, sweep and pulse generators, oscilloscopes, sequential counters, precision gauges, etc.
- Knowledge of electronic counter measures, counter-counter measures, fuzing circuits, doppler radar, computer tracking systems, antenna systems, gyro systems, with associated software and Computer programming systems for flight simulation to perform inspections and the operational checkout of guidance and flight control sections of guided missiles according to procedures outlined in TMs, DMWRs, and test specifications.
- Security Clearance Level: Secret
PHYSICAL EFFORT
The work involves standing, bending, stooping, and protracted periods at test consoles. Continuously handles objects weighing from 10 to 45 pounds. Heavier objects are lifted with the assistance of coworkers.
