HOW AN ITSM PROGRAM MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: 

Managing technical ITSM program involving services to include IT. Providing services which include incident and problem management, change and release management, event management, application management and continuous service improvement.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:  

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical Skills:

  • PMP Certification
  • ITIL v3 Certification or higher

Required Experience:

  • 10 years in managing large ITSM operation programs with more than 5 years in a program manager role

Security Clearance Level:

  • Public Trust (obtain & maintain)

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to respond to customer questions, concerns, and comments, and alert customer leadership to potential contractual issues
  • Demonstrated experience in management and oversight of all activities performed by contractor personnel, including subcontractors
  • Demonstrated experience preparing a Monthly Status Report (MSR) listing activities during reporting period, by task and subtask to include on-going activities, new activities, activities completed and progress to date
  • Ability to develop and maintain schedule depicting major tasks, milestones, and deliverables as well as planned and actual start and completion dates for each task
  • Demonstrated experience preparing Program Management Plan (PMP) to include organization chart, staffing plan to include staffing hours of availability versus on-call staffing, facility locations and contact information for the main POCs, timelines, general operating procedures, project management approach and process, escalation procedures for after-hours support, staff training policies, transition plans.
  • Ability to drive recommendations through to implementation
  • Ability to communicates effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to recommend processes and technology improvements (tools, processes, methodologies, etc.) that will increase efficiency
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering communications about customer systems and tools as well as system outages, system updates, and other end-user-targeted information
  • Demonstrated experience in all the following:
    • Responsible for complex program management tasks and processes for scheduling, administration, and accounting
    • Provide thought leadership to project analyses and process improvement activities
    • Defines, acquires, and allocates budget, staff, and other resources necessary to accomplish the goals and/or objectives of the program group/function
    • Responsible for the employment, training, coaching, mentoring, motivation, discipline, and performance evaluation of employees
