Ship Rider (Journeyman)

GDIT has this NEW and exciting Opportunity! Join GDIT and lead the way for today and the future. GDIT is looking for a Ship Rider (Journeyman) to do the following:

• JMPS Application Central Access Library (JACAL) updates and maintenance
• Provide NavMPS systems configuration and set-up guidance for software and peripherals
• Assist JMPS Administrators and Aircrew in ensuring that NavMPS systems are configured and are ready for operational use
• Assist in processing requests for PMA-281 NavMPS pre-approved software, software updates, hardware shipments, failures, and replacements to maintain CVW NavMPS assets, maintaining visibility / liaison with all JMPS Administrators and Users to facilitate a timely response for problem resolution, training issues, and general day-to-day operations, and routinely inform carrier and CVW personnel on the status of all NavMPS systems
• Support Deploying Group System Integration Testing (DGSIT) and system integration events IAW NavMPS IGS
• Provide support to aircrew and the JMPS Officer, or representative for the CVW/CVN IT staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least three (3) years' of experience with DOD C4ISR systems which includes 24/7/365 help desk support, conducting training, on-site technical support, and underway/deployed CVN’s, LSD’s, LHA’s, DDG’s, CVW’s, MAG’s, MEF’s, or USN/USMC Squadrons.
• ABA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a "Relevant Technical Discipline". ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Military service in an IT-related rating/MOS, may be substituted for an AS or AA degree. Four (4) years of experience in support of Defense IT systems may be substituted for a AA/AS or Military service in an IT-related rating/MOS.

• Top Secret Clearance / Special Compartment Information Eligible
• DOD 8570.01 certification
• Must be able to pass USN medical screening to ensure suitability for at-sea duty.
