FSR / Supervisor

The selected candidate(s) will be a member of the GDLS team located at JBLM, WA providing maintenance support to a Brigades worth of Stryker combat vehicles.
Position Responsibilities:
Supervisor
- Supervise a workforce of up to 39 personnel, schedule manpower, workload, and priorities to support business requirements.
- Engage in constant communication with customer (internal and external), management, and personnel to ensure contractual requirements are met.
- Plan/supervise Contracted Logistical Support (CLS) operations as directed by USG schedule.
- Maintain 100% accountability of assigned equipment; to include preparing and submitting LTDD documentation as required for broken equipment.
- Maintain calibration; ensure all equipment requiring calibration are maintained in a mission ready status.
- Manage assets to ensure supplies are issued in a manner that will cause a continuous flow of material as required.
- Supervise repair/supply activities to streamline flow of materials to workforce.
- Direct the maintenance steps to accomplish repairs including disassembling, removing, and replacing worn/ damaged/defective part(s), adjusting, reassembling, testing, and using applicable technical documentation.
- Complete maintenance and administrative forms and other paperwork related to performance of duties.
- Participate in logistical meetings and provide insight for paths forward in support rendered.
- Supervise troubleshooting and correct malfunctions in automotive systems (driveline and suspension) using built in test equipment (BITE), test equipment and/or manual troubleshooting procedures (MTPs), common and special tools and applicable technical documentation.
- Perform individual and collective counseling to employees on a regular basis.
- Ensure continuous improvement and compliance to ISO, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Lean Six Sigma, and Whole Systems Business Model, (WSBM)
- Oversee and assist with preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on all Stryker variants to include sub-components and LRUs pertaining to the Stryker Platform.
- Oversee and troubleshoot and correct malfunctions in automotive systems (full up power-pack FUPP (engine, transmission, cooling), fuel, exhaust, driveline and suspension) using built in test equipment (BITE), test equipment and/or manual troubleshooting procedures (MTPs), common and special tools and applicable technical documentation.
- Complete maintenance and administrative forms and other paperwork (reports) related to performance of duties.
- Perform all duties in accordance with ISO processes.
- Perform duties as site Field Representative; Environmental, Hazmat, Safety, Fire prevention and administrative functions
Position Requirements:
- Must have 3 to 5 years related work experience with progressively responsible leadership or supervisory experience.
- Supervisory experience required, with ability to teach, coach, mentor, and identify/ develop talent.
- Associates’ degree from an accredited school in a related business or technical discipline required.
- Must be certified Stryker FSR or successfully complete Stryker FSR Academy.
- Six (6) to 9 years of related work experience. (Equivalent military service acceptable).
- Experience directly related to position such as leading/supervising personnel in a maintenance environment, strong hands-on experience in fielding operations required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate (verbal and written)
- Stryker Vehicle experience preferred.
- Work in improved and unimproved maintenance facilities, as well as other field environment and work duty locations as required.
- Military school trained wheel vehicle mechanic (such as US Army MOSs 63B, 63S, 63W or 63B MCM or USMC MOSs 2147, 3521, 3522, 3524) preferred. Documented commercial training and/or experience acceptable. Field experience preferred.
- Read and interpret troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures and flow diagrams for systems, subsystems, and components.
- Ability to acquire U.S. Passport within 90 days of hiring.
- Computer literate, must be capable of using MS suite of Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Should be familiar with web access/internet connections, computer literacy in Lotus Notes is desirable.
- Ability to manage electronic files, archive, and retrieve upon request.
- Travel to remote CONUS/OCONUS locations on short notice to support operations.
- Must meet and maintain deployment requirements, as business needs necessitate.
- Must meet and maintain ASR requirements.
- Must be able to successfully pass and maintain NACI background to obtain CAC (common access card)
- Must be able to gain and maintain access to all military installations in which the work is performed.
- Meet and maintain requirements of SP 2-644
- Must be a U.S. person.
Position Salary Range: New hires generally start between $77,100 and $82,000 per year. Applicant’s placement within the range is based on qualifications and professional experience. The full salary range for the position is between $77,100 and $115,700 per year.
Position Incentive: Hired applicant will be able to receive an annual bonus.
