- Interprets complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understand the necessary interfaces
- Performs complex system level troubleshooting to component level
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions
- Lays out, builds, calibrates, adjusts, installs and maintains equipment, components, devices or systems

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
- On-Call and Call-In status is required after normal working hours, on weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
- Required to Qualify NWS Electronic Security Systems within 3 months of hire to perform preventive and corrective maintenance indoors and outdoors.
- Maybe required to Qualify Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF), and system administrator within 6 months to perform minor preventive and corrective maintenance on network systems to include AC&D system in secure areas.
- Work is closely monitored. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed procedures
- Defines complicated /unique preventative maintenance tasks
- Utilizes a variety of systems to perform design and processing functions
- Demonstrates leadership and initiative in actions
- Can be expected to lead, direct, organize Technician work
- Works with associates in other departments and understands cross-functional relationships
- May have minimal contact with customer
- Analyzes results and implements procedures for problems
- May prepare reports, documentation/specifications as required
